OUR BEGINNINGS...

Originally founded in 2015, Biosverde was a student-led blog that sought to raise awareness of renewable energy issues by partnering with corporations and discussing developments in the industry. Unfortunately, the group shut down in 2018.

THIS YEAR...

Biosverde is back. We have expanded our focus from renewable energy to the field of sustainability as a whole, including waste management, green transport, combating climate change and biodiversity protection.

/ our guiding principles

ARMING STUDENTS WITH KNOWLEDGE

to initiate productive discussions about the environment in Asia and beyond, as well as the state of sustainability on campus

STRENGTHENING THE CONNECTION

that readers feel to Singapore and Southeast Asia. This is particularly important given how international Dover's student body is, with many of us interested in learning more about this country we now call our home.

BEING A CITIZEN-BASED, COMMUNITY MEDIA SOURCE

We strive to report on climate news that isn’t covered in mainstream discourse.

AMPLIFYING THE WORK OF OTHER GREEN GROUPS

locally and internationally

/ topics we cover

THE ENVIRONMENTAL SCENE

with a special focus on Singapore and Southeast Asia

THE LATEST ENVIRONMENTAL NEWS ON CAMPUS

We strive to cover sustainability initiatives happening at school, to give readers a better understanding of the current landscape.

THE SYSTEMIC NATURE OF CLIMATE CHANGE

Systems of oppression and injustice have long exploited the environment. We strive to highlight the presence of these structures in our articles.

CLIMATE JUSTICE

This is “an inclusive version of environmentalism that advocates for both the protection of people and the planet. It identifies the ways in which injustices happening to marginalized communities and the earth are interconnected.”
